She's a Little sweetheart

Not your average post on a fashion blog, but she was too sweet to ignore!

In between planning fashion shoots, I did a mini shoot with my best friends daughter.
I am trying to expand my work so that i'm more flexible when it comes to finding work. As much as I love fashion, I need to do something else once in a while!

So here she is, she is so pretty and was such a joy to photograph. It will be so nice to document her growing up and to finally create a gift book for when she is older!

Business cards will be done in the next few weeks and i'm so excited to see the ones with her lovely face on them!

She should also be on the ads for hunter wellies!

Neglecting the blog!

I have been so busy lately. Between work and organising photo-shoots I just haven't stopped.
Unfortunately we had a shoot planned for this week but it was cancelled last minute, so I have no new work to share with you all! So instead, I thought i'd share with you some images of what has happened in my life this week.

I did have a mini photo-shoot with one of my best friends little girl. It was so much fun and she is just the cutest, sweetest little girl ever.

Prepping for the Re Loved photoshoots and fashion show! These sequins are from one of the garments that Re Loved is selling and the second image is of a vintage inspired photoshoot in this week's Grazia!

This week my boyfriend and I went to check out a new grill in Cardiff. 'The Smoke Haus' is home to one of the biggest mixed grills I have ever seen and my boyfriend attempted it, and to be honest, he didn't do to badly! Only left the chips (As there was a mountain of them).

Sneak peak of my new Jeffrey Campbell Litas! Mother bought me a treat and I adore them. Will put an outfit post up later in the week! Also I cleared my rail and started putting out my Autumn/Winter clothing. On the end is a sneak peak of my new H&M AW14 STUDIO trousers.

Took my dad on a coffee date. This is my favourite past time.

Emily <3. She is absolutely adorable and I think she will become a photographer one day!
This is my best friends little girl, and I love her so much!

Here it is guys, my week in pictures :)
I will be sorting out some outfit posts this week as well as organising some new shoots!

What has everyone been doing this week?

Polagram, I love you

My new favourite picture printing app! I couldn't believe the quality. Polagram is actually cheaper than I expected too, and you can print as many images off your phone as you like. You can also have them printed in ordinary sizes.

I decided to test just using some random images off my phone, and most of them are major throwbacks! For one, I have near to black hair! I did love my hair this colour although I am currently loving the blonde!

This is definitely something you all need to test!
Hopefully i'll also be getting myself a polaroid ASAP!

How many of you love to use polaroid?

ELF LIPSTICK HAUL

After recently dying my hair a VERY light blonde, I felt I was in desperate need for a make up haul. I have lipstick, however when I had darker hair, they would be purely for nights out as I could easily get away with having nude lips!

This is no longer the case! My skin looks a lot paler now than it did, and I REALLY need some colour in my life! So, I felt like I should stay in season and purchased some lovely burgundy/plum colours!
They are amazing, and at £5 each, you really can't go wrong.

This brand has a small boutique shop in an arcade in Cardiff, and is well worth a visit.

What is your favourite Autumn shade?
Mine has to be the Prime Plum!

Vintage Edit x Sequins

Another set of looks from the most recent shoot with Re Loved Vintage. There are so many amazing looks and these images are showing a 'way to wear'. As well as selling the clothing, Rachel is also a stylist with great personal style.

Beautiful model Amanda wearing Re Loved's sequinned jacket, now available to purchase. Contact Rachel Hannah at the website link!

Everyone needs to take a look at her page and visit her at the various vintage fairs that she will be attending during the next few weeks.

I Quit Sugar

After years of dieting and doing extreme bootcamps to shift my weight, I feel it is now time to have an overhaul of life and actually change the way I eat and live completely.

I discovered Sarah Wilson and her 'I quit sugar' books. They are amazing and I definitely would recommend them to anyone. I have only recently started to get into cooking, however I feel that doing it in the right way will be a lot better for me in the long run. So far, every meal has been delicious, even if it is something I originally looked at as seeming a little strange.

It is crazy how you can quit sugar in so many ways and it not make too much of a difference to your lifestyle. In these books Sarah tells you how to make sauces, desserts, delicious meals and fast food substitutes to keep you on track.

Last night, I tested the 'Thai Red Curry Bolognese with Thai Salad'. It was amazing and again is something I wouldn't normally make for myself. My other half and I thought it was so nice, he had the left overs for his lunchbox! It was so simple and easy to make, and didn't have any sugar! I am excited to continue to test her 8 week plan and I'll document the food journey right here, which is also a complete first for me. I'm no chef!

And here it is! My finished image. It was so delicious and I was so proud!

What is your favourite dish to make?

Apparently, I look like storm

Finally took the plunge and went completely blonde. I've had the inspiration to go a really light blonde for so long but hid behind my dark roots. It was a shock to start but I love it. My brother came straight out and said I look like storm from x-men, which at first, I wasn't sure he meant as a compliment.

I'm totally in love with all BLEACH London products and use their shampoos and treatments religiously. It has played a huge part in lightening my hair previously and I'm hoping that it will continue to do so now it is this light! It's very exciting and I am also tempted to get the rose shampoo eventually and have a complete change... Maybe when I'm not working in retail though?

Goodbye dipdye monstrosity!

Hello blonde!

What is everyone's hair inspiration! Drop me a comment!

Preview

On Monday I had my most recent photoshoot with ReLoved Clothing and it was one of the most fun shoots I have had in a while. One of my best friends modelled for us, someone who should have always been a model.

The clothing was absolutely amazing, and there were some items that I could easily have run off with. ReLoved is currently in the process of setting up a website to sell online but until then you can find all of the promotions and clothing at ReLoved.
You will also be able to find them at various vintage fairs over the next few months! All information on the Facebook page!

So here is  a sneak peak of only one of the looks that was shot, as the others will be released ready to sell the new stock in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled because all images will be posted here first!

Also, please check out my Facebook page while I am working on my website! You can find it here at Carla Anne Photography!

Today was shoot day

'Today we shot for Reloved, ready for the Autumn/Winter 14 collection of Vintage clothing.
There were some amazing pieces to shoot and as the brand is growing, the chances of the pieces being sold before launching the shoot are really high!

We had some amazing colour palettes to work with and an amazing location.
Just 5 minutes away are some beautiful reservoirs, forestries and countryside that we are lucky enough to use however we want, whenever we need to. It is an amazing space to escape or even to relax when needed. Each place that we used complimented the garments so well and really made it an exciting shoot, as well as the amazing team I had the pleasure to work with!

I'm excited to share with you a few snapshots from the day as well as the amazing location!
This is the first of many shoots to come over the next few weeks/months and I am so happy to have some amazing people to work with.
